GERALD MAURIELLO, JR. , DPM
Dr. Gerald Mauriello, Jr., is a Board-Certified Podiatric Foot and Ankle Surgeon. He completed his undergraduate education at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey and earned his graduate degree in Health Education from Columbia University’s prestigious Teacher’s College in New York City. Dr. Mauriello continued his medical education at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and graduated in 2004. Recently, he completed a graduate degree in clinical mental health counseling at The College of New Jersey.
He completed his residency in Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery at Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Centers of NYC, where he served as Chief Resident. Following his residency training, Dr. Mauriello was appointed Assistant Professor of Surgery at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine and the Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
Dr. Mauriello completed advanced training at the world renowned Russian Ilizarov Scientific Center for Restorative Traumatology and Orthopaedics in Kurgan, Russia. This valuable experience allows him to utilize specialized techniques to reconstruct deformities the foot and ankle after traumatic injury and complications associated with diabetes.
Formerly he was a member of the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases faculty practice, the Director of the Foot and Ankle Institute of Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute, Freehold, NJ and most recently as owner of Functional Foot and Ankle in Belvidere New Jersey.
In his free time, Dr. Mauriello enjoys spending time with his wife and four children and dog Remi, hiking, fishing and camping.
