We’re excited to welcome Dr. Christie Stawicki to the team at New Jersey Foot & Ankle Institute!
Dr. Christie Stawicki is thrilled to be joining a team of compassionate and skilled physicians at New Jersey Foot and Ankle Institute. She brings her passion for sports medicine, trauma, minimally invasive techniques, and ensuring her patients receive the highest quality care. She completed her surgical training at University Hospital in Newark, NJ, a Level 1 trauma center, where she served as academic chief resident. Her surgical training focused on foot and ankle trauma, rearfoot reconstruction, minimally invasive surgery, and limb salvage. She was the recipient of the Rutgers University Intern of the Month, has held various leadership and volunteer positions for the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine, and served as a medical team volunteer at the Boston Marathon.
Prior to residency, she completed her doctorate at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine and received her undergraduate degree from The Pennsylvania State University. She served as Research Fellow for the President of the Rothman Institute and published multiple research papers and book chapters pertaining to Orthopedic Spine surgery and trauma. She was awarded the Dr. Stanley Graduation Award of Clinical Excellence, the Mirmiran Family Scholarship, and was nominated as Student of the Year for the Temple University Class of 2022. She has also completed multiple advanced educational courses focusing on fracture management, external fixation, ankle arthroscopy, and minimally invasive surgical techniques.
Dr. Stawicki has developed a strong passion for patient advocacy and is eager to provide top-tier podiatric care to the North Jersey community. In her spare time, she enjoys Pilates, weight training, jiu-jitsu, live music, supporting her favorite football teams (Penn State and the Houston Texans), and spending time with her family.

Q: What made you want to become a podiatrist?
A: I have always had a passion for sports, fitness, and surgery. Podiatry was the perfect speciality that encompassed different aspects of those fields into one career.
Q: What areas of podiatry are you especially passionate about?
A: Fitness and sports have always played a major role in my life, therefore, sports medicine is an area of podiatry I am extremely passionate about. As an athlete myself, I can directly relate to the mentality and goals of my patients. Additionally, my surgical training took place at a level 1 trauma center which fostered my strong interest in trauma and fracture management.
Q: What do you think makes a great doctor-patient relationship?
A: Trust, communication, empathy, and compassion. In the ever- changing field of medicine, we must never forget the importance of listening to patients and understanding their goals and concerns. Treating every patient as family, and understanding their individual needs is of utmost importance.
Q: What’s one thing you want patients to know about you?
A: I am dedicated to providing compassionate, quality care to every patient who enters the office. It is a privilege and honor to care for patients, and my goal is for each patient to feel valued, heard, and acknowledged.
Q: What are you most excited about as you join the NJFAI team?
A: I am excited to be joining a group of like-minded, skilled physicians who take pride in making each patient feel valued, seen , and appreciated.
